Artist Bio

Jes Zange is an emerging artist living in Brookfield, WI. Being inspired by creatives her whole life, she decided to pursue a degree in fine art and received her BFA in Studio Art from Millikin University in 2009 with an emphasis on painting, drawing and printmaking. Creating continued to be a part of her life but it took becoming a mother in 2016 for her to find her true home in fiber arts. Her journey began on a loom and after teaching herself the different techniques and materials utilized in weaving she began playing with the idea of “painting” with fiber. After months of exploring she honed in on her craft and established herself as an original textile artist, producing pieces for clients aroundthe world. Each piece is created in her home studio and is made with natural materials purchased from local small businesses to ensure the highest quality. Investing in unique, high quality materials is very important to her work and it allows her to support the community and fellow creators. Jes continues to produce commissioned pieces for local and international clients and shows her work in retail and gallery spaces around Wisconsin.
